World Pickleball Day

World Pickleball Day

World Pickleball Day is WPF’s annual worldwide participation event — a single day each year when member federations, clubs and players across every continent celebrate and grow the sport together.

One day, one global game

From local club sessions to national festivals, World Pickleball Day invites everyone — first-timers and seasoned players alike — onto the court. It is WPF’s flagship grassroots moment: open, inclusive and worldwide.

A global tradition since 2020

World Pickleball Day was founded by the World Pickleball Federation and first celebrated on 10 October 2020. Held every year on 10/10 — a date that nods to pickleball’s opening score — it was created to grow the sport beyond North America and introduce new players around the world through free taster sessions, club open days and community events. Each year WPF releases a promotional toolkit so clubs and national federations everywhere can take part, marking the occasion under the banner #WorldPickleballDay.
