Governance & Integrity
Anti-Doping & Clean Sport
Protecting integrity. Promoting fairness. Competing clean. The World Pickleball Federation upholds the World Anti-Doping Code to ensure a level playing field, protect athlete health, and maintain the integrity of pickleball worldwide.
Our commitment
WPF is establishing a WADA Code–aligned anti-doping programme across its member federations and their competitions. Clean sport is a cornerstone of WPF’s governance and of the sport’s pathway toward recognition within the Olympic Movement.
Anti-Doping rules & framework
- The WADA Prohibited List — substances and methods banned in and out of competition.
- The doping-control process, sample collection, and results management.
- In-competition and out-of-competition testing.
- Analysis at WADA-accredited laboratories.
- Sanctions and appeals, with independent results management.
Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUE)
Athletes who require a medication that appears on the Prohibited List may apply for a Therapeutic Use Exemption. Applications must be made before use where possible, must meet the strict criteria of the WADA International Standard for TUEs, and must be declared during doping control. Emergency exemptions are available in defined circumstances.
