The International Pickleball Federation (IPF) facilitated an introductory course on officiating and coaching pickleball in Can Tho on 13–14 December 2023, organised by the Can Tho Pickleball Club and the Vietnam Pickleball Association (VPA).
The course was sponsored by the IPF and the VPA, and directed by Tanyat Tran, 2nd Vice President of the IPF, who oversees the development, training and certification of referees, line judges, tournament directors, coaches and equipment. More than 40 participants attended, including lecturers and staff from Can Tho University and Nam Can Tho University, training human resources to officiate IPF-sanctioned tournaments and helping players and athletes understand the rules correctly.
